Galavision, Fox Sports World and Fox Sports World Espanol Will Combine to Show All Matches of CONCACAF U-17 Qualifying Tournament

CHICAGO (Monday, April 16, 2001) - The U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team will begin play this Wednesday in St. Louis in the team's quest to qualify for the 2001 FIFA Under-17 World Championship being played this September in Trinidad & Tobago. The U.S. opens their round-robin CONCACAF qualifying group at Saint Louis University against Jamaica on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. CT knowing that only a first-place finish will see the team into the World Championship. Following the match against Jamaica, the U-17s will square off against Canada on Friday and El Salvador on Sunday. Led by midfield sensation Santino Quaranta, who picked up his first points as a professional playing with D.C. United last week, and high-scoring forward Ed Johnson, the U-17s have been preparing for this match since entering residency camp in January, 2000, in Bradenton, Fla.
