U.S. Under-18 MNT Concludes Training Camp with Victory Over TCNJ

ZARAPETH, N.J. (April 26, 2008) -- The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team scored three first-half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over the College of New Jersey, rounding out an eight-day training camp in New Jersey.

Eight minutes into the scrimmage, an Eder Arreola corner kick found Adam Jahn, who was able to beat a pair of TCNJ defenders to the ball and head home the early goal. Just six minutes later, Harrison Petts received the ball at midfield, turned and sent a through ball for Tristan Bowen, who ran onto it and beat goalkeeper Eric Goldwaser for a 2-0 advantage.

Jahn's second goal of the game came in the 31st minute, when he pounced on a rebound from a Petts shot, and slid the ball into the net, putting the U.S. up 3-0 before the halftime whistle. TCNJ was able to get a goal back from an impressive individual effort from defender Ryan McMahon, who carried the ball from midfield and beat U.S. goalkeeper Dillon Scaffle for a final score of 3-1.

Under-18 MNT head coach Bob Jenkins concludes his team's three-game, eight day training camp with a 2-0-1 record. Jenkins will next gather his group in mid-May for the Lisbon International Tournament in Portugal.
