Tickets for U.S. vs. Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier at Columbus Crew Stadium on October 11 Will Go On Sale July 29
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Thursday, July 6, 2000) - Columbus Crew Stadium General Manager Mark McCullers announced today that tickets for the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying match slated for Crew Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m., will go on sale the morning of Saturday July 29, at 10 a.m. Crew Stadium will host the MLS All-Star game later that day.
The match will pit the U.S. Men's National Team against Costa Rica's national side in the semifinal round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Tickets will range in price from $20-$36 and be available at the Crew Stadium Box Office and through TicketMaster, by visiting any participating outlet, calling 614-431-3600 , or logging onto www.ticketmaster.com. Columbus Crew full season-ticket holders will be offered an opportunity to secure their same seats before tickets go on sale to the general public, while partial plan holders will be able to purchase their same seats or comparable ones.
"Going on sale with this marquee event on the morning of the MLS All-Star Game, another marquee event at Crew Stadium, presents us with a fantastic opportunity," McCullers said. "It will allow thousands of fans already on the premises the convenience and excitement of being able to acquire their Oct. 11 tickets 'hot off the presses.'
