w/ MNT defender Tony Sanneh

Tony Sanneh may or may not need some sort of therapy. Regardless, with 25 prompts on topics both easy and tough, we play psychiatrist to get a candid look inside the mind of the 30-year-old defender. The St. Paul, Minn., native's soccer career has taken him on a remarkable journey from a Division II university, to paying his dues in the A-League, to winning a pair of championships in MLS, and to becoming a regular starter in the German Bundesliga.

After working his way to MLS after two successful years in the D3 Pro League and A-League with the Milwaukee Rampage and then his hometown Minnesota Thunder, respectively, Sanneh quickly made his name on D.C. United, the closest thing MLS has had to a dynasty. The 6'2" behemoth was a key role player for United on their way to two championships, scoring in both championship games to help them bring home the Cup in 1996 and again in ‘97. His play at both defender and midfielder with the U.S. Men's National Team over the last few years could take him to Korea/Japan this summer.
