U.S. U-17 MNT Arrives in Manchester, England, for 11-Day Training Camp

CHICAGO (Nov. 1, 2010) -- The U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team has arrived in Manchester, England, for an 11-day training camp that will include matches against youth teams from Manchester City, Blackburn and the Scotland U-17 MNT. The team will visit the facilities of the premier league teams while continuing preparations for February’s CONCACAF U-17 Championship.

The 20-player roster will play its only international game of the trip versus Scotland on Wednesday, Nov. 10, before returning to Bradenton, Fla. Scotland is preparing for the Elite Round of European qualifying, set for March 2011.

It will be the second international trip of the Fall semester for Wilmer Cabrera’s side, which returned from Spain in mid-September. The team is coming off a draw and a loss against Canada in a two-game friendly series in Florida. Next up for the U.S. U-17 MNT is the Nike International Friendlies at the Development Academy Winter Showcase in Phoenix, Ariz.
