Jurgen Klinsmann and Players to Interact with Fans at U.S. Soccer Pep Rally Tonight at the Bluestone in Columbus

Admittance Free for All Fans as Excitement Builds for USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T; Brian McBride and Frankie Hejduk will also be Part of Event

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Sept. 9, 2013) – U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann and select players will attend the U.S. Soccer Pep Rally and interact with fans tonight at the Bluestone in Columbus. The event will also include appearances by World Cup veterans and former Columbus Crew standouts Frankie Hejduk and Brian McBride.

Admittance to the Pep Rally is free for all fans, but space is limited and admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Bluestone is located at 583 E. Broad St., in downtown Columbus.

Before the Pep Rally, fans can enjoy a happy hour that will start at 5 p.m. and feature food and drink specials, as well as DJ Paul Devro playing for the fans.

The USA-Mexico World Cup Qualifier, presented by AT&T, kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 10 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN, UniMas and ESPN Deportes Radio at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can follow along on’s MatchTracker and on Twitter @ussoccer.

A victory for the United States combined with a win or tie for Honduras at home against Panama would clinch passage for the MNT to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The U.S. sits in second place in the group with 13 points, one behind leaders Costa Rica. With its first victory away to Mexico in a World Cup Qualifier, Honduras is now in third place on 10 points. Mexico holds the fourth spot, one point ahead of Panama.
