President Bush Wishes U.S. Team Good Luck
United States President George W. Bush called U.S. Men's National Team head coach Bruce Arena and the team at 11 a.m. on Monday morning in Jeonju, Korea to wish the team good luck in today's epic USA-Mexico Round of 16 World Cup clash. In greeting the team, Bush informed the players of the American public's excitement centering on the team's World Cup success, even "for those of us who don't know much about soccer." In accepting the call, Arena did not mince words when he told the President that "the U.S. team would give a performance that all America would be proud of."
