USA and Australia Meet in Decisive Final Match of 2014 NTC Invitational on Friday


U.S U-20 MNT and Australia Square Off in a Decisive Match in the Finale of the NTC Invitational while Chile and Bermuda Will Play in Day’s First Game

CARSON, California (July 17, 2014) – The U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team and Australia sit tied atop the standings with six points heading into the final day of the 2014 Men’s National Training Center Invitational. The two teams will go head-to-head at 7 p.m. PT at StubHub Center, preceded by Chile and Bermuda playing at 4 p.m. PT at the same location. Both games will be live on ussoccer.com.

The USA and Australia are even in points, but with a point differential of plus five, the U.S. holds first place. Both Chile and Bermuda have zero points after two games.

Australia’s Awer Mabil leads all scorers with four goals through two games. Teammates Marc Marino and Steffan Mauk have each scored twice as Australia has scored a total of nine goals through two games.

Andrija Novakovich and Zach Pfeffer have scored two goals apiece to pace the U.S. attack and Cristian Cuevas has scored a pair to lead Chile. No other player has more than one goal.
