Proceeds of Online Auction to Benefit OneOrlando Fund and Equality Florida
CHICAGO (July 1, 2016) - U.S. Men’s National Team captain Michael Bradley has raised $5,655.55 after donating the unique rainbow captain’s armband and his game jersey worn during the USA’s 2-1 win against Ecuador to an online charity auction. Bradley will also match the winning bid and donate to the funds.
Proceeds from the online auction will benefit the OneOrlando Fund and Equality Florida, two organizations providing financial resources to victims and families impacted by the Pulse nightclub mass shooting earlier this month.
The purpose of the OneOrlando Fund is to provide a way to help respond to the needs of our community after the Pulse tragedy.
Equality Florida consists of two organizations; Equality Florida Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational charity and Equality Florida Action, Inc., our 501(c)(4) advocacy organization. Together, these organizations form the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
