U-16 GNT Heads to San Diego for 24-Player Training Camp

CHICAGO (July 28, 2016) – The Under-16 Girls’ National Team will come together for a camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., from July 31-Aug. 7 as head coach Jaime Frias has called up 24 players.

It will be the second camp for Frias, who was hired as a new U.S. Soccer Women’s Development Coach as well as the head coach for this age group.

All the players in this camp were born in 2000 and this age group is in the second year of a two-year cycle before becoming the U-18s and then the U-20s with the goal of playing in the 2020 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
