After Ghana knocked the USA out of the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups – once in the Group Stage and again in the Round of 16 – the U.S. got its revenge in the two sides’ last meeting when Clint Dempsey scored early and John Brooks late to hand the MNT an unforgettable 2-1 victory in the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
