U.S. Soccer is pleased to announce the second year of the Development Academy Scholarship Program supported by NIKE and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for full-time Academy players who require financial assistance to participate in the Development Academy Program.
2013-14 Scholarship Program
Applications will be available here starting on Monday, July 1. All applications must be received by Friday, August 16, 2013 and no late applications will be accepted. All applications will be reviewed as they are received and scholarship recipients will be notified no later than Monday, September 2, 2013. 2011-12 Program Recap
Over 150 Academy athletes participated in the Academy Scholarship Program in 2011-12 with 95% successfully completing the program by finishing five comprehensive Activity Logs over the course of nine months. Recipients received funding to assist with travel to Academy training, games and events as well as product provided by NIKE to facilitate their everyday training.
