The third annual 2008 Women’s Nike Friendlies will take place Aug. 21-24 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. More than 25 teams will participate in the prestigious youth competition, including three team’s representing the U.S. Under-14 and Under-15 Girls’ National Teams.

U-17 WNT
The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team won the 2008 CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championship with a 4-1 victory against Costa Rica on Sunday night at Marvin Lee Stadium. Tani Costa scored twice for the U.S., with Kristen Mewis and Courtney Verloo each scoring once.
