U.S. Head Coach Kazbek Tambi and defender Amber Brooks comment on the U-17 WNT's match against Korea DPR in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Final.
U-17 WNT
The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team fell in the championship game of the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, losing to Korea DPR in overtime by a 2-1 score in front of a crowd of 16,162 at North Harbour Stadium.
After the semifinal win over Germany, U.S. head coach Kazbek Tambi recalls one of his best soccer memories from 31 years ago. The 2008 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup semifinal was certainly a special game for U.S. head coach Kazbek Tambi, not only because his team played brilliantly and defeated Germany, but also because his childhood hero was in attendance.
