- Peter Makoba Stadium, named after past chairman of the ANC Youth League and deputy minister in the government of Nelson Mandela, is a custom built facility commissioned as part of the general preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Peter Mokaba Stadium is situated a few miles south of the city on the site of older Pietersburg Stadium adjacent to the Polokwane Sports Club and the Polokwane Game Reserve. Polokwane is a small city and so access to and from the main hotel district and downtown precinct will be relatively easy.
- The stadium was built next to the old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane in the Limpopo Province.
- The newly-built Peter Mokaba stadium is situated approximately five kilometers from the city center.
