U.S. ENational Team

U.S. Soccer joins twitch

As part of the “BEND THE CURVE. STAY AT HOME.” initiative, U.S. Soccer has announced the launch of its Twitch channel: @ussoccerofficial.

U.S. Soccer’s “BEND THE CURVE. STAY AT HOME.” campaign supports and emphasizes what medical experts advise is the most important way to combat the spread of COVID-19. The eNational Team friendly is another opportunity for fans to connect with and celebrate the sport while safely at home.

U.S. eNational Team vs. Mexico

To kick off the channel, the U.S. eNational Team will take on archrival Mexico on Friday, April 10 at 8 p.m. ET in its first friendly match, hosted by Univision’s Ramses Sandoval. The new account will serve as the home of eNational Team content moving forward. Friday’s match will also be streamed live on the TUDN app and tudn.com.

Nashville SC’s Cormac Dooley (Doolsta) and LA Galaxy’s Giuseppe Guastella (GGGodfather) will represent the U.S. against El Tri. The pair earned their places as the USA’s first eNational Team players last spring and competed for the red, white and blue at its first eSports competition- the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup in April 2019.

Mexico will also be represented by their 2019 eNations Cup players- Alberto Osmar (Beto19Avila) and Luis Fernando Villanueva Morena (VillaMore3). The pairs will play as the Men’s National Teams of the U.S. and Mexico in “85 Overall” mode.

The regional rivals were both drawn into Group B at the competition, and squared off in three tightly-contested matches. The USA topped Mexico 4-3 in 2v2 play, while Doolsta drew VillaMore3 3-3 and GGGodfather dropped a tight 1-0 result to Beto19Avila.
