Chipotle Mexican Grill recently launched a special buy one, give one program to support healthcare heroes across the U.S. From now until April 26, Chipotle will donate a burrito to medical professionals every time a Chipotle digital customer names their burrito order "4HEROES" on the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com. Healthcare workers will be able to SIGN UP for a chance to receive their free burritos starting on Nurses Day, May 6.

Over the past month, Chipotle has demonstrated its commitment to supporting brave healthcare workers throughout the country. On April 7th, Chipotle announced a NEW EGIFT CARD PROGRAM that supports healthcare heroes on the frontlines. Through May 31, the brand will be matching 10% of special "Thank You" egift card purchases, up to a maximum of $250,000, and donating to Direct Relief, an organization working to provide personal protective equipment and essential medical items to healthcare workers in the U.S. and around the world. Chipotle also delivered 100,000 burritos to more than 2,500 healthcare facilities around the country during World Health Worker Week.

Visa Foundation pledged $210 million, helping small and micro businesses around the world with a focus on fostering women’s economic advancement and for immediate relief to local communities. Additionally, Visa has updated the Visa Back to Business Project with a new business locator page, allowing consumers to identify essential services open in their area. In continued effort to support women entrepreneurs, Visa and IFundWomen launched a series of grants for U.S. based women-owned small businesses in need of funding assistance, awarding four women-owned businesses, $10,000 each. Activating its network, the Visa Everywhere Initiative is challenging startups and fintechs to develop solutions that help small businesses affected get online. During the virtual NFL Draft, Visa launched a commercial spot featuring NFL athletes encouraging fans to show their support for local small businesses. Similarly – in line with the postponement of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 – Visa teamed up with Team Visa Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls to create a series of PSA-style videos as part of their “Do Your Part like an Olympian” campaign, which encouraged viewers to practice safe behavior to prevent the spread of the virus.

Earlier this month, Volkswagen of America and fabrics supplier Faurecia announced a collaborative effort to manufacture Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items, with the first batch shipped to New York City’s Javits Center and other area hospitals. Working with Volkswagen strategy and logistics, Faurecia was able to quickly convert one of its factories to begin producing tens of thousands of surgical masks and gowns.

Volkswagen of America is also working with its more than 600 independent U.S. dealers affected by the outbreak. Volkswagen is supporting its network of dealers who wish to put their service loaner fleet to use for free pickup and delivery of needed supplies and food. The team can be called upon for tasks such as delivering food to a local food bank, transporting masks and gowns to an area of critical need, or even dropping off necessary items to someone unable to leave their home – all at no cost to the group or person making the request.
