Will Wilson was named CEO / Secretary General of the U.S. Soccer Federation on March 23, 2020. Wilson, 52, comes to U.S. Soccer with 29 years of vast and diverse experience in the international and domestic sports industry. Born in London, England, Wilson graduated with a degree in English Literature from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where he was a four-year letter winner in football. He also holds an MBA from the Tecnológico de Monterrey Graduate School of Business (EGADE) in Monterrey, Mexico.

Dr Chiampas is an Assistant Professor and Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He serves as Associate Director of EMS and Medical Director for Community and Sports Event Preparedness and Management at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, EMS Director for the Chicago Police Department, as well as founder and Co-Director of the Chicago Cardiac Arrest and Resuscitation and Educational Services (CCARES), a foundation which promotes greater public education, awareness, training and legislation on Sudden Cardiac Death.

Since 2007, Dr Chiampas has supported the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Shamrock Shuffle as Medical Director. During this time the Chicago Marathon has become a leader and example globally in operational safety and emergency preparedness and response in mass event incidents. Additionally, he has led innovative educational situational tracking and communication tools which have led to greater public safety during mass event disasters. Dr Chiampas has served as President and currently serves on the Board of the International Institute for Race Medicine IIRM which promotes runner and race safety during mass events.

In 2014, Dr Chiampas was appointed as Chief Medical Officer for the U.S. Soccer Federation, developing and establishing best practice policies and building the sports medicine platform for the federation as well as guiding sport safety for the 4+ million players nationally. He launched and created the Recognize to Recover platform Soccer’s health and safety program as well as the national concussion awareness campaign and “PLEDGE”. He additionally serves as Team Physician for the Men’s National team, traveling nationally and internationally for competitions and tournaments since 2006. He serves as a Team Physician to the Chicago Blackhawks since 2013, was previously with Northwestern University Athletics including serving as Interim Head Team Physician from 2011-2013. He also serves on Gatorades Sports Science Institutes GSSI speakers’ panel and is a board member for FIFA’s Medical Advisory Board implementing best practices in the sport of soccer globally.

Dr Chiampas has numerous scientific publications and book chapters, has lectured widely at academic conferences and scientific meetings throughout the world. He has been interviewed and quoted for multiple media outlets and publications. His primary interests are on mass event preparedness and safety, sports injuries, heat illness and sudden cardiac death survival and public awareness through CPR and AED availability.

As a member of several medical societies, he has supported multiple scientific journals in his role as editor. In addition, Dr Chiampas serves on several advisory boards specific to public and youth sports safety. His professional goal is to enhance sports and public safety for individual and team sports through mass event emergency preparedness, policy and process implementation utilizing best practices.

Leetzow, an accomplished and results-orientated industry executive, spent 20 years at NASCAR where she most recently served as its Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Leetzow earned her J.D. at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Vermont.

Joined USSF in 2018 in newly created USMNT General Manager role. Previously Sporting Director at Philadelphia Union. Holds 10+ years Soccer Director experience. Professional and USMNT player for 16+ years.

Wright brings more than 20 years of strategic management and business growth leadership to U.S. Soccer at the professional and international levels of sports and has served as Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer at Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for the last four years, leading all marketing and commercial business units. A former SportsBusiness Journal Forty Under 40 Award recipient, Wright earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Indiana University and a Master of Science in sports management from the University of Massachusetts.
