DR. Pete Zopfi
Dr. Pete Zopfi was born and raised in the Napa Valley. He has been a passionate student and supporter of soccer his entire life across several different facets of the sport. He enjoyed a playing career at various clubs in California which culminated with collegiate stints at the University of California at Davis and the University of San Francisco, the latter at which he helped win a Division I NCAA title during the 1975-76 season.
He holds CYSA F, E, E/D and D coaching licenses as well as U.S. Soccer C, B, A and Goalkeeper coaching licenses, and has coached at the recreational, competitive and ODP levels as well as at summer soccer camps, college intramurals and high school. He is a Grade 8 U.S. Soccer referee and has a wealth of administrative experience including as President of the Fairfield-Suisun Youth Soccer League, President and Board member of Solano Soccer Club, an array of leadership roles with the California Youth Soccer Association, Chairman of US Youth Soccer, and as part of the U.S. Soccer Board of Directors.
Dr. Zopfi has been married 45 years and has five children and six grandchildren. He is a trauma, general and thoracic surgeon and currently serves as Trauma Medical Director at NorthBay Medical Center, where he was previously Surgery Department Chair and Chief of Medical Staff.
