The 2015 USL champion Rochester Rhinos scored early and often in a 7-0 thrashing of Southie FC. Forward Asani Samuels paced the Rhinos with a hat trick, including two scores in a span of 30 seconds shortly before the half. Christian Volesky began the scoring with a successful penalty kick in the fifth minute, followed by goals from Andre Fortune II and Marcos Ugarte over the ensuing 20 minutes. Rochester continues its 21st consecutive appearance in the Open Cup at home against Lansdowne Bhoys FC on Wednesday, June 1.
