Tulsa Roughnecks FC (USL) 5, OKC Energy U-23 (PDL) 3
The OKC Energy U-23s took after their namesake with a second-half burst, but it was too little too late in a 5-3 loss to Tulsa Roughnecks FC in the Second Round. Tulsa stormed out to a 3-0 lead in the first half with goals from Jaime Ayala Jain, Cristian Mata, and Pavel Kondrakhin, all from inside the box. Mata, a Tulsa native, completed his brace early in the second half, minutes before Kondrakhin did the same in the 53rd minute. Facing a 5-0 deficit, OKC faced an uphill battle, but found its way on the board in the 58th minute when Mark Lindstrom finished a cross from the corner. The Energy continued the comeback with an own goal in the 64th minute and a Christian Okeke right-footed tally in the 73rd minute. Tulsa moves on to host fellow USL side San Antonio FC in the Third Round.
