Seacoast United Phantoms vs. Kendall Wanderers

MAY 9 | 7:30 p.m. ET | Seacoast United Sports Park; Amesbury, Mass.

Seacoast United Phantoms (PDL) 2, Kendall Wanderers (Mass.) 2 (7-6 PKs)
A valiant effort from a 10-man Kendall Wanderers squad came up just short as the Seacoast United Phantoms outlasted their fellow amateurs 6-5 in penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw in regulation. The Kendall Wanderers played nearly the entire night a man down after Jason Noctor was shown a red card for a late tackle in the 11th minute. The two sides exchanged first-half goals before Julian Jordan Canosa seemingly scored the winner for Seacoast United in the 86th minute. The Wanderers had other plans, however, equalizing at the death to send the match into extra time. Following a scoreless 30 minutes, Seacoast United edged its opponents from the spot while a thick fog rolled onto the pitch. The Phantoms next will take on Elm City Express in the Second Round.
