One of the USA’s most promising center back prospects, the English-born Carter-Vickers has entrenched him in the U.S. program since being discovered while playing for Tottenham against the U-17 MNT in a 2014 friendly. Months later he earned his first U.S. call-up with the U-18 MNT and went on to become a fixture with the U-20 MNT at both the 2015 and 2017 FIFA World Cups. A member of the U.S. side at the 2015 CONCACAF U-23 Championship, Carter-Vickers earned his first senior team call-up in November 2016 and first cap during a 1-1 draw with reigning European champions Portugal on Nov. 14, 2017. Still developing, Carter-Vickers has benefited from loan deals during the 2017-18 season, lining up for Sheffield United during the first half of the campaign before joining Ipswich Town to close the season. The Tottenham product was loaned for the season to English League Championship side Swansea City on August 25, 2018.
