The son of an American serviceman and a German mother, the dual citizen excited fans with his decision to represent the United States. Speedy and adventurous, he has demonstrated versatility by occupying the flank defender role on either the right or left side and remains a bright prospect for the future. Amiable and self-deprecating, he brings spirit and humor to the locker room. After spending several years at Nurnberg, he challenged himself with a return to his hometown club Eintracht Frankfurt.

2014: Returned to his hometown club Eintracht Frankfurt to start the 2014-15 campaign … Despite joining the team late following the World Cup, he snared a starting role almost immediately and quickly became the first choice right back … 2013/14: Played in 21 games for FC Nurnberg, starting in 19, as the team finished 17th in the Bundesliga in his fourth campaign with the club … He had one goal and one assist on the season ... 2012/13: Made 30 appearances and 29 starts for FC Nurnberg in the Bundesliga, recording one goal and three assists as the club finished in tenth place with 44 points … Scored his lone goal of the season against Hannover 96 on September 26...2012:Continued to cement his place in the Nürnberg defense, starting every game in the first half of the season ...
