A converted forward, she earned her first three caps at defender with the USA in 2005, before working her way into the team full-time in 2006 and earning a spot on the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup Team … 2008: Took most of the year off from soccer to have her second child … Did play in four matches for the USA at the end of the year on the Achieve Your Gold Tour … While playing forward, she scored her first career goal for the WNT against China on Dec. 13 in a 1-0 victory at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. … 2007: Played in 13 matches in 2007, starting five, one at the Four Nations Tournament in China and two at the Algarve Cup in Portugal … A member of the USA’s 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup Team, she played in three matches at the Women’s World Cup, her first world championship tournament, totaling 90 minutes of play … At the WWC, she played against Nigeria, the homeland of her mother Eka … 2006: Had an excellent performance at the 2006 Four Nations Tournament, starting all three games in the center of the defense and playing every minute of the competition as the USA won the title … Started two matches at the 2006 Algarve Cup … Started 10 of the 14 matches she played … Youth National Teams: Played with the U.S. Under-21 National Team in 2004.
