Clint Dempsey's pair against Bolton capped a big week for U.S. goalscorers abroad. Deuce now has 21 goals in all competitions, becoming the first American abroad to hit that mark since Michael Bradley equaled that amount in the 2007-08 season with Heerenveen.
- Clint scored both goals in Fulham's 2-0 win against Bolton, increasing his total to 15 goals in the Premier League this season. That's the most for any player in Fulham history. Demspey scored a free kick from about 30 yards out to open the scoring, then finished a header after a trademark run into the area.
- Michael Bradley got his first career goal in Serie A, opening the scoring in what would end in a 3-2 win for Chievo Verona against Catania. Bradley has logged more than 2,500 minutes in 29 appearances for Chievo this year.
- DaMarcus Beasley notched his fourth of the season, scoring the tying goal as Puebla rallied to come out 2-1 winners against Toluca.
- Joe Corona got on the board for Xolos Tijuana in their 2-1 win against Atlante. Corona had four goals in the Olympic Qualifying tournament and now has two for Tijuana in the Clausura.
