MNT May 25, 2012
The U.S. MNT has departed camp from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex after 10 days of intense training. The facilities were absolutely outstanding, and only outclassed by all the staff at the field and the hotel that made the time such a great experience.
After empty stomach runs, two-a-day training sessions, fitness evaluations, nutrition education and a host of other activities, the team is ready to embark on the 'five-game tournament'. With the final 23-man travel roster now named, Jurgen Klinsmann's quote says it best:
“We have said from the beginning that these games are all about results, and we have chosen the 23 players who are in the best form right now and ready to get the job done. These guys have put in a tremendous amount of hard work in the last 10 days, and they are hungry to get started with the matches. We want to thank the players who have gone back to their clubs for all of their effort here. They are knocking on the door and will be ready to go if needed.”
Let's get ready for Scotland!
