The USA is staying in Pilanesburg National Park at a hotel called Bakubung, meaning "People of the Hippo."
Now, we haven't see any hippos, besides the big wood one above (which is good because they are quite dangerous), but as you may have heard or read on an earlier blog post, there have been some "elephant issues." A large elephant was blocking the road earlier in the afternoon when the U.S. team tried to take a short trip out for some shopping, then when the team left for training this evening, that same elephant decided he wanted to munch on a tree that was on the side of the road, delaying the USA's convoy to training by a few minutes. We're pretty sure it was the first-ever elephant-delayed departure for a pre-game stadium training in World Cup history. Apparently there is a protocol if you are driving on a road that is blocked by an elephant: you stop and wait for the elephant to move, no matter how long it takes. We snapped a few pics of the huge, grey road block earlier in the day.
