The hotel the U.S. team is staying at in Augsburg is in a very old building which has been totally remodeled and refurbished to look...well, old. But in a very nice, old world type of way. There were definitely some talented designers and decorators involved in this project. They call it a "boutique hotel" we believe. Either way, the folks at the hotel couldn't be nicer, greeting the U.S. team after an excellent lunch (above) and introducing some of the staff. (Not something that happens often in America). Apparently, it's a family-owned hotel and it's clear the U.S. team will be well taken care of during the stay in Augsburg. They even had a cooler with fresh, scoopable ice cream in the meal room. That could be dangerous.
An indoor pool that wouldn't look out of place in a castle.
Initially, it was a bit confusing finding your room. But it makes sense, we swear.
