U.S. defender Stephanie Cox, formerly Stephanie Lopez, has got a little bit of media attention early in the trip. That's due to the fact that she is the first player of Hispanic descent to make an impact on the U.S. Women's National Team. Cox's grandfather was born in Mexico, a fact that made prominent in one newspaper today: "Stephanie, a defender with Mexican blood." This will be the second time Cox has represented the USA in Mexico following the 2008 Olympic qualifiers that were held in Ciudad Juarez.
