Will Packwood: U.S. U-20 Defender and Math Whiz!
ussoccer.com passes out a survey at every training camp for the players to fill out. It's used to update media guide bios and other publications with relevant byline information. We also include a line with best skill (outside of soccer), which always brings in some interesting responses. Here are a few of the best from this camp:
Best Skill (Outside of Soccer)
Perry Kitchen: Ping-Pong/Following Notre Dame Football
Since when did following a sports team become a skill? Anyhow, apparently Perry has really honed his methods for supporting the Fighting Irish.
Sebastian Lletget: Drawing Portraits
Tyrone McCargo: Handball
Joe Corona: Playing Guitar
Will Packwood: Math
David Bingham: Trap Shooting
These are skills you don't see every day! It makes sense that Tyrone, growing up in Europe, would be solid at Handball. It's one of the more popular sports here in Germany, and one could see the similarities with soccer and hockey. Sebastian and Joe have the arts cornered it looks like, while David's Trap Shooting and Will's Math may be firsts for YNT surveys.
The responses that include video games are pretty common on our surveys, but this one from Gale was notable because it was crossed out in another color of ink! The YNT Blog wonders who did that? Somebody who is disputing Gale's skills, no doubt. A vanquished and bitter foe perhaps?
