Akron Slips to No. 2: With all three of the game’s goals scored in the final 11 minutes, No. 1-ranked University of Akron lost its first game of the season to Cleveland State on Saturday evening. D.C. United Academy alumni Aslinn Rodas notched the first goal for the Vikings in the 79th minute and assisted on the game winner with less than seven minutes remaining to take the 2-1 win. Akron’s record is now 14-1-1 on the season while Cleveland State improved to 8-9.
Agudelo Earns First Career Start in Playoffs: New York Red Bulls Homegrown signee Juan Agudelo started his first MLS game on Saturday in the team’s playoff game against the San Jose Earthquakes.
