U.S. Soccer Launches Fan Interactive 'One Nation. One Team.' Social Media Campaign Surrounding World Cup

Messages from Fans to Appear in Key Locations Visible to the U.S. Men’s National Team Before and During the World Cup

CHICAGO (May 13, 2014) – U.S. Soccer’s “One Nation. One Team.” social media campaign will connect fans with the U.S. Men’s National Team during their journey to Brazil for the World Cup by gathering quotes and messages of encouragement across all social media platforms and displaying them to the team in unique and behind-the-scenes locations.

Similar to the# Fanwall campaign from 2013, “One Nation. One Team.” will ask fans for messages through various social media platforms, starting today. The messages of support will then be printed and placed in key locations during the team’s training camp at Stanford University, on stadium walls at each of the three Send-Off Series matches and the Fan Appreciation Day in New York, as well as in Brazil at the team’s hotel and training facility at Sao Paulo FC. The messages will also be included on team schedules and materials.

To participate via Twitter, fans can use the hashtag #1N1T connected to a tweeted inspirational message for the team. On Facebook or Instagram, U.S. Soccer will provide posts asking for encouraging messages. Messages will then be collected from the comments section of the respective posts and tweets with the appropriate hashtag and displayed for the team.

In addition, fans can support the team during select Send-Off Series events surrounding the National Team. U.S. Soccer will host a pregame Fan Fest at each of the three games. The public will also have access to training sessions the day before each match.
