PNT Head Coach Stuart Sharp Names 16-Player Roster for April Training Camp

Camp will be part of preparation for Paralympic Games

CHICAGO (March 23, 2016) – Paralympic head coach Stuart Sharp named a 16-player roster for one of the last training camps before heading to Spain for the 2016 Pre-Paralympic Tournament at the end of the month. Camp will be held in Bradenton, Florida from April 3-9.

Sharp called in two players – David Garza and Sean Boyle – to their first training camp with the Paralympic team in 2016.

“The setting at IMG provides us with an excellent opportunity to utilize their world class facilities but also to train in a climate that will not be to dissimilar to Rio,” said Sharp. “We will be using this camp to continue to assess and support the return to action of some of our long term injured players, as well as prepare some of our newer squad members into our systems of play. Following this camp we will be taking a squad of players to a tournament in Spain, many of whom are inexperienced at an international level; therefore our time on the training field in Florida will be focused on ensuring that when we touch down in Europe at the end of the month we are prepared for our opposition.”

The PNT will participate in the 2016 Pre-Paralympic Tournament held in Setubal, Spain from April 24-May 8 before the Paralympic Games in Rio.
