Defender Marlon Fossey Departs Camp Due to Injury
CHICAGO (May 17, 2017) – U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team head coach Tab Ramos has added Philadelphia Union defender Auston Trusty to the U.S. roster ahead of the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which kicks off in Korea Republic on Saturday. The Philadelphia Union defender has been with the team as an alternate in case of injury since the USA departed for training camp in Japan on May 10.
Additionally, defender Marlon Fossey has been released back to his club. Fossey came into training camp carrying a groin injury but held hopes of healing enough to play in the tournament.
With the changes, the U-20 MNT roster remains at 21 players. The team arrived in Incheon, Korea Republic late Wednesday night ahead of its opening match against Ecuador on May 22 at Incheon Stadium (4 a.m. ET; FS1).
