Genaro Barrientos led the way in LAFC Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over the weekend with an exceptional performance against Real So Cal. Playing in the midfield, his playmaking abilities were instrumental in creating offensive chances for his side. Barrientos has tallied three goals in four games and will look to continue his impressive scoring run during matches against Washington Premier FC and Crossfire Premier this weekend in the team’s first cross-conference trip of the season.
U-17/18: Mynor Giron

Club: Real So Cal
Mynor Giron’s impressive play against LAFC Chelsea this weekend helped secure the 3-0 victory for his side. His defensive contribution helped preserve his team’s fourth shutout in six games this season. With the team at the top of the division, Mynor and the Real So Cal defense have held opponents scoreless during three divisional games and have only allowed three goals in six games this season. Real So Cal will look to continue their strong defensive efforts against local rival, Irvine Strikers, this weekend and will open up the rest of the Academy season in February.
