U.S. U-17 MNT Defeats Russia 2-0

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team defeated Russia 2-0 behind two first-half goals from Wesley Wade. Wade’s goals put the U.S. at five points after drawing Mexico and U.A.E. in the first two matches.

L’ALFAS DEL PI, Spain (Oct. 19, 2011) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team defeated Russia 2-0 behind two first-half goals from Wesley Wade. Wade’s goals put the U.S. at five points after drawing Mexico and U.A.E. in the first two matches.

The U.S. next faces host Spain on Thursday, Oct. 20, in the final tournament match. Head coach Wilmer Cabrera’s men could still win the tournament, in which each team plays each other once and the team with the most points is crowned champion.
