U.S. U-20 MNT Drops Opening Match to Paraguay

AREQIUPA, Peru (Sept. 6, 2010) -- The U.S. U-20 Men's National Team dropped a 5-0 decision to Paraguay in their opening game of the Cuadrangular Internacional in Arequipa, Peru.
The U.S. was chasing the game early, as Oscar Ruiz got the first of his three goals on the day in the 15th minute and added his second just three minutes later. Down 2-0 at the break, Ruiz rounded out his hat trick just seconds after the second half kicked off. Claudio Correa added a brace for Paraguay with goals in the 81st and 89th minutes to make it a 5-0 final.
The U.S. will look to rebound against Colombia on Sept. 8.
