| Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. ussoccer.com offers several RSS feeds for use in news readers. These feeds include headlines, summaries and links back to ussoccer.com for the full article. RSS feeds are free and ussoccer.com currently uses RSS 2.0. |
| There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds. You can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the Web sites you select, enabling you to view hundreds of headlines at once. After installing the news reader, you can add each feed manually from the Web site by clicking on the "Subscribe" or the "XML" orange button next to the feed. |
| An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a Web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add RSS feeds directly to their personal page. |

| The default behavior for each RSS feed is to pull articles from the previous 30 days. |
| There are 3 possible parameters that work for each URL: |
sd: Start Date: the date to start getting articles [mm/dd/yyyy] |
ed: End Date: the date to stop getting articles [mm/dd/yyyy] |
ic: Integer Count: maximum number of articles |
| For example, to pull a maximum of 30 articles from March 1, 2005 to March 30, 2005: |
| http://www.ussoccer.com/RSS/newsrss.xml?sd=03/01/2005&ed=03/31/2005&ic=30 |
