U.S. Soccer is pleased to announce the second year of the Development Academy Scholarship Program supported by NIKE and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for full-time Academy players who require financial assistance to participate in the Development Academy Program.
2008-09 Program Recap
Over 140 Academy athletes participated in the Academy Scholarship Program in 2008-09 with 95% successfully completing the program by finishing five comprehensive Activity Logs over the course of three months. Recipients received funding to assist with travel to Academy training, games and events as well as product provided by NIKE to facilitate their every day training.
2009-10 Scholarship Program
