U.S. Soccer is pleased to announce the second year of the Development Academy Scholarship Program supported by NIKE and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for full-time Academy players who require financial assistance to participate in the Development Academy Program.
2010-11 Program Recap
Over 170 Academy athletes participated in the Academy Scholarship Program in 2010-11 with 94% successfully completing the program by finishing five comprehensive Activity Logs over the course of eight months. Recipients received funding to assist with travel to Academy training, games and events as well as product provided by NIKE to facilitate their everyday training.
