Referee Symposium: "Officiating the Women's Game"  

CHICAGO (Wednesday, November 20, 2002) - The United States Soccer Federation and the Texas State Soccer Association South Referee Administration will present a Referee Symposium for officials working women’s soccer matches in 2003.

Note: Pre-registration is not mandatory, but helpful.

A United States Soccer Federation National Coach and a top WUSA Coach will be there to field questions from participants.

The clinic is open to everyone (all grades) interested in learning about the intricacies of officiating at high-level women’s soccer games. Attendance at the symposium may be used to meet in-service referee training requirements for 2003 registration. Check with your SDI or SRA for more information.

There is no charge for the seminar. Referees will be responsible for their own expenses, including travel, meals and accommodations. Those needing hotel accommodations must make their own room reservations directly with the hotel. The NCAA Division 1 Women's Championship is being held in Austin that same weekend. Why not plan on attending both events?
