U.S. U-17 MNT Defeats Jamaica, 2-0, in First of Two Matches
BRADENTON, Fla. (May 10, 2006) - The U.S. Under-17 '90 Men's National Team defeated Jamaica, 2-0, in the first of two matches this week at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Ellis McLoughlin scored both goals for the U.S., which only had five shots on goal compared to nine for Jamaica.

The first goal came in the 36th minute. A long throw-in was deflected into the box by defender Tommy Meyer and bounced twice before McLouglin pounced on it from 12 yards out to drive it into the lower right corner.

McLoughlin struck for the second time in the 52nd minute. Jared Jeffrey slipped a through-ball behind the Jamaican defense and McLoughlin sprinted to it, touching it once towards goal before unleashing a blast from the top of the 18-yard box into the upper left corner.

The U.S. and Jamaica will play again on Friday, May 12.
