U-17 '90 MNT Falls Twice to K.C. Wizards

BRADENTON, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2007) - The U.S. Under-17 '90 MNT dropped two games to the Kansas City Wizards this afternoon at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The U.S. fell 3-0 and 3-1 against the MLS team that is currently in Bradenton for preseason. The 40 players in U.S. Soccer's U-17 Residency Program were split into two teams, both consisting of players born in 1990 and 1991. The matches were played at the same time.

The lone goal for the U-17s was scored by forward Ellis McLoughlin. The Seattle, Wash., native scored in the 41st minute to equalize Kansas City midfielder Jack Jewsbury's strike in the sixth minute. The score only stayed knotted for nine minutes as an own goal by defender Sheanon Williams gave the Wizards the lead for good. Scott Sealy scored the final tally in the 61st minute for K.C.
