North Korea Pulls Out Of 2008 Peace Queen Cup and is Replaced By New Zealand  
CHICAGO (May 28, 2008) - North Korea has pulled out of the Peace Queen Cup and will be replaced by New Zealand. The North Koreans also pulled out the tournament prior to the start of the inaugural Peace Queen Cup in 2006.

The Kiwis, who will face the U.S. in first round play at the 2008 Olympics, will be slotted into Group A in North Korea’s spot and face South Korea, Canada and Argentina.

The U.S. Women’s National Team will participate in the Peace Queen Cup in Suwon, South Korea from June 14-21, facing Australia (June 15 at 2 p.m. local / 1 a.m. ET), Brazil (June 17 at 2 p.m. local / 1 a.m. ET) and Italy (June 19 5 p.m. local / 4 a.m. ET). All of the USA’s matches will be played at the Suwon Sports Complex.

The winners of the two groups will play for the championship on Saturday, June 21, at the Suwon World Cup Stadium.
