U.S. Under-20 MNT To Face Mexico on July 9 in Laredo, Texas

CHICAGO (June 12, 2008) – The U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team will face Mexico’s Under-20 Men’s National Team in a friendly match on July 11 in Laredo, Texas.

“Playing Mexico is always a good opportunity to prepare ourselves for CONCACAF Qualifying,” said U.S. Under-20 MNT head coach Thomas Rongen. “At this point in the cycle, it will be good to come together for a few days and play against a quality opponent in order to really test ourselves.”

The U.S. will arrive on July 9 and will train for two days leading up to the affair. The 16-man roster will be announced at a later date.

The game will take place approximately two weeks before the U.S. is set to travel to the Northern Ireland Milk Cup, where they will face the hosts on July 28 and Wales on July 30, with placement games beginning on August 1.
