U.S. National Teams: Made a late run to make the World Championship roster after training with the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team for the first time in May of 2006 … One five players to make the World Championship roster after not participating in CONCACAF Qualifying … The youngest player on the World Championship roster … Played with the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team in 2005 … Played with the U.S. U-16 Girl’s National Team in 2004 and 2005 … Also participated in the U.S. Under-14 Identification Camp.

High School: Spent her freshman year at Cedarburg High School in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, before moving to Raleigh, N.C. and attended Broughton High School as a sophomore and junior … Graduated from high school a year early in June of 2006 to attend North Carolina … An All-State selection at Cedarburg and she was the Gatorade High School Player of the Year as a freshman … Also her Conference Player of the Year as a freshman … Was the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year in 2005 as well as a Parade and NSCAA All-American … Helped lead Broughton to state titles as a sophomore and junior and was MVP of the state tournament both years.

Club: Played on a boys team – the Cedarburg Strikers – from U-11 to U-15 … Played U-18 girls club as a freshman in high school for the Cedarburg Strikers … After moving to Raleigh, N.C., in 2004, she played for the ’87 CASL Spartan Elite, playing two years up from her age group … Won South Regionals with CASL in 2005 and advanced to the club soccer national championships at U-17s, finishing third … Will attend South Regionals with CASL again this summer.

College: Will Attend UNC in the fall of ’06. Committed as a sophomore.

Personal: Full name is Casey Nicole Nogueira …The daughter of Victor Nogueira, the greatest indoor soccer goalkeeper of all-time … Victor played 27 years of professional soccer … Was a member of the honor roll at Cedarburg and Broughton … Likes to listening to music on her IPod, hanging out with her friends and doing tricks with the soccer ball … Grew up in Wisconsin while her dad was playing for the Milwaukee Wave and attended hundreds of indoor games … A big fan of college basketball and an avid reader of nikesoccer.com.
