CoachesNet caught up with U.S. Men’s Paralympic National Team head coach James Hoffman in the latest edition of “Starting XI.” Hoffman gives insight into his coaching philosophy, coaching education and developing leaders.
U.S. Soccer’s National Coaching Schools have been providing high-quality coaching instruction for over 38 years, and this summer you will have a chance to take your coaching education to a new level. Coaches can obtain a nationally and FIFA recognized “A”, “B”, or “C” level license and increase their knowledge of the game.
Officials must remain focused and vigilant in order to make correct offside decisions, particularly in situations where an offside violation is not expected. Such was the case last Sunday, April 20, in the match between Kansas City at Chicago when corner kicks were called in favor of Chicago.
CHICAGO (April 22, 2008) - Allowance is made in any period of play (including extra time) for time lost through substitutions, assessment of injuries, removal of players from the field of play for treatment, time wasting and any other cause. The specific amount of the allowance is at the discretion of the referee, although the International Football Association Board (IFAB) has advised that the full time lost due to injuries should be allowed.
