NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 23, 2008) – The U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team fell to Honduras, 1-0, in overtime of the 2008 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Final. Both teams, by virtue of winning their respective semifinal games, had already qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The Honduras goal, scored by George Wilson Welcome in the 103nd minute, was the just the second goal allowed by the U.S. during five games in qualifying, and the first goal since the opening half of their match against Cuba, a streak of 421 minutes.
