  Instructions for Applying to Host Tournament or Games Involving Foreign Teams


1. Contact your state office (For a list of state offices and their contact information, click here)

2. Request necessary state forms

3. Request U.S. Soccer required forms or print below:

  • U.S. Soccer Application for Hosting Tournament or Games Involving Foreign Teams - (.pdf)
  • Ted Stevens Amateur Sports Act for Foreign Hosting - (.pdf)

4. Complete the state forms along with the U.S. Soccer forms

5. Documents Required for USSF Approval:

- U.S. Soccer Application to Host a Tournament or Games Involving Foreign Teams, approved by appropriate Affiliated Member in bottom right corner.

- Signed Ted Stevens Amateur Sports Act for Foreign Hosting

- Copy of Official Tournament Rules. Use the Hosting Rules Checklist (.pdf) to assist in the creation of your tournament’s rules, all issues raised in the Checklist should be addressed in your rules. Completed tournament rules should be e-mailed to Steven Murry at smurry@ussoccer.org.

- Check for the non-refundable Tournament Hosting Fee of $75.00 made payable to U.S. Soccer.

6. Submit completed forms to your state association office for their review and state certification of U.S. Soccer forms

7.State office or applicant submits certified forms directly to U.S. Soccer at least thirty (30) days prior to the tournament’s opening date. (Applications not received 30 days prior to the tournament date may be denied by U.S. Soccer.)
