  • With the changes, 22 players will have played for the USA during the group stage with only goalkeeper Tyler Miller yet to appear.

  • Defender Daniel Lovitz and winger Jonathan Lewis make their Gold Cup debuts tonight.

  • Gold Cup Cap Numbers for the rest of the Starting XI (including this match): Altidore (11), Gonzalez (10), Morris (8), Roldan (3), Cannon (2), Johnson (2), Miazga (2), Mihailovic (2) Trapp (2)

  • Veteran defender Omar Gonzalez captains the USMNT for the first time tonight. Gonzalez is the eighth different player to wear the armband in the team’s nine matches under Gregg Berhalter in 2019. The others: Aaron Long (2 games), Michael Bradley, Matt Miazga, Tim Ream, Zack Steffen, Wil Trapp and DeAndre Yedlin.

  • Five players appeared in the USA’s last meeting with Panama, a 3-0 win on Jan. 27, 2019, in Glendale, Ariz.: Lewis, Lovitz, Mihailovic, Trapp and Roldan.

  • With the opening strike, Mihailovic scored his first international goal before Lewis also provided his first assist late in the January game. Along with Lovitz, the duo was part of a record-tying group of nine USMNT players that made their debuts in the match.

  • Making his 113th appearance, Jozy Altidore earns his first USMNT start since 2017. The striker has three career goals against Los Canaleros, registering two in his last appearance – the 4-0 World Cup Qualifying victory on Oct. 6, 2017, in Orlando.

  • Gonzalez and Morris both appeared in the last Gold Cup meeting with Panama – a 1-1 draw to open the 2017 tournament on July 8, 2017 in Nashville.

  • Goalkeeper Sean Johnson makes his second Gold Cup appearance and first since a 1-0 shutout victory against Costa Rica on July 16, 2013 in East Hartford, Conn.

  • Thanks to a superior goal differential, a draw or win will see the USMNT finish on top of its Gold Cup group for the 14th time in 15 tournaments, while a loss would see Panama top Group D.

  • The group winner will take on Curaçao, who finished second in Group C, while the runner-up will face Jamaica who finished atop Group C. Both quarterfinal games will take place Saturday, June 30, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

  • The USMNT is 13-1-6 all-time against Panama, 11-1-4 on home soil and 5-1-4 in Concacaf Gold Cup play.

  • The USMNT is 34-1-4 all-time in the Gold Cup Group Stage.
